Staff members operate the digital comprehensive management platform for the ancient city wall in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, Sept. 10, 2025. The 13.74-kilometer-long ancient city wall that surrounds Xi'an is one of the longest and best-preserved of its kind in China. A digital comprehensive management platform has been built for the wall since 2023, which integrates functions such as cultural relic protection, cultural tourism operation, emergency management, and flood-control command.

By comprehensively applying advanced technologies including big data analysis, Internet of Things, etc., the platform provides a digital and intelligent foundation for the protection of this historic city. (Xinhua/Shao Rui)
