Recently, the Spanish National Tourism Administration has held a series of tourism strategy promotion events in cities including Xiamen, Kunming, and Guiyang. These events highlight “sustainable, diverse, and immersive experiences” to inspire more independent Chinese travelers to embark on trips to Spain immediately. In 2024, Spain welcomed 647,801 Chinese visitors, marking a 66.7% year-on-year increase and reaching 92.5% of 2019 levels. Visitor numbers in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 26.1% compared to the same period in 2019.
