With Indonesia officially included in China's 240-hour transit visa-free policy, the number of countries eligible for this policy has now reached 55. This policy boost has accelerated the growth of inbound tourism. Agency data shows that from January to May this year, passenger volume on inbound routes exceeded 16.5 million, a 25% year-on-year increase, with Beijing and Shanghai being the most popular destinations. Inbound tour operators report that tourists increasingly favor short-distance, in-depth tours and unique consumption experiences. To prepare for the summer market, travel agencies are developing personalized, immersive products such as tours to Tibet and Yunnan.
