With a marked recovery in inbound tourism in April 2025, the German National Tourist Board (DZT) maintains a cautiously optimistic outlook for the upcoming summer travel season. According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office, overnight stays by foreign visitors in Germany increased by 4.1% year-on-year in April 2025, reaching 6.6 million. Consequently, the gap in overnight stays between January and April 2025 and the same period in 2024 narrowed to 0.7%.
