The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) forecasts that under a medium scenario, international tourist arrivals in the Asia-Pacific region will reach 801 million by 2027. While China continues to lead outbound travel, India, the United Kingdom, and Russia are also emerging as increasingly important source markets for the region.
China remains the largest inbound tourism market in the Asia-Pacific region, projected to receive over 148 million visitors by 2027. The United States and Turkey follow closely behind, with Turkey and Mongolia poised for strong recovery in the coming years, potentially surpassing pre-pandemic levels.
