To further facilitate exchanges between Chinese and foreign nationals, China continues to expand its visa-free entry policy to more countries.

Shanghai Airport Immigration Inspection Station disclosed on June 10 that over 100 ordinary passport holders from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain entered China visa-free via Pudong International Airport on June 9 and 10.

From June 9, 2025, to June 8, 2026, China will implement a trial visa-free entry policy for ordinary passport holders from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain visiting for business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, or transit stays not exceeding 30 days. According to reports, shortly after midnight on the 9th, Pudong International Airport welcomed the first group of inbound travelers under the new policy.
