Mr. Lukáš Pokorný, Director of the Czech National Tourist Board's China Office, emphasized that China is a crucial source market for Czech tourism. To better showcase the Czech Republic's appeal to Chinese visitors, the Board is actively upgrading its tourism product portfolio. He noted that the Czech Republic has recently added several high-end accommodation options, such as the newly opened Fairmont Hotel, W Hotel, and SIR Hotel in Prague; while Brno, Mariánské Lázně, and Zlín have also welcomed new hotels. Transportation options have expanded with the addition of international overnight sleeper train routes connecting Poland and Belgium. Air connectivity is also improving: starting this June, Etihad Airways will launch four weekly direct flights between Beijing and Prague, with convenient connecting options via Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, or Istanbul. He particularly recommends that Chinese tourists explore the Czech Republic through in-depth customized tours, delving into the unique charms of regions like Central Bohemia, Liberec, Ústí, South Moravia, Ostrava, and Olomouc for a more immersive and profound travel experience.
