By late April, Changchun, Jilin finally welcomed its floral herald. The 10th Apricot Blossom Cultural Festival at Jilin University opened on the 20th. At the university's Nanling Campus, the 770-meter Apricot Blossom Avenue transformed into a sea of pink, drawing 100,000 domestic and international visitors on the festival's opening day.

Reporters observed hundreds of apricot trees lining the avenue, their blossoms unfolding in succession. Petals in shades of pink and white drifted like clouds and mist, occasionally showering visitors with a gentle rain of petals when a breeze swept through. Jilin University student Lin Yue guided tourists in making bookmarks beneath the trees. “These ancient apricot trees have witnessed the history of Jilin University's multi-campus integration,” he explained to visitors. “Each petal carries memories of our campus.”
