Rail services in France will face strikes starting May 5, impacting public travel.

Partial rail services in the Paris region will be affected by strikes beginning May 5, with train frequencies halved on multiple lines. Train services in regions including Hauts-de-France and Normandy will also be impacted by strikes starting May 5.

Train drivers at the French National Railway Company (SNCF) will strike starting May 7, while train dispatchers plan to strike from May 9 to 11. Unions are demanding clearer work schedules for railway employees and pay raises for train dispatchers and others. SNCF has stated it will make necessary adjustments to work schedules but has rejected the pay raise demands.
