Abu Dhabi's Culture and Tourism Sector Sees Strong Growth in First Quarter

As the landmark year of 2024 drew to a close, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) showcased the emirate's continued growth as a premier global destination at the 2025 Arabian Travel Market (ATM). With tourism and hospitality figures continuing to climb in the first quarter of 2025, Abu Dhabi is steadily advancing its tourism development and is on track to achieve its ambitious visitor targets for the year.

Abu Dhabi's tourism sector has started 2025 strongly, welcoming 1.4 million overnight visitors in the first quarter alone. The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi's participation at ATM will highlight the emirate's growing appeal as an international travel destination. Visitor numbers in Q1 2025 increased compared to the same period last year. Abu Dhabi attracted visitors not only from its core source markets but also from other regions. The most prominent source markets were India, China, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
