On May 5, according to Shanghai Tourism Big Data monitoring, the city welcomed 16.5006 million visitors during the May Day holiday, marking a 1.61% year-on-year increase. Statistics indicate that the total tourism transaction value in Shanghai, encompassing dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment, reached 20.11 billion yuan, up 10.20% year-on-year. The occupancy rate of Shanghai's hotels reached 73%, marking a 6.5 percentage point increase year-on-year.
